25 cents a cable? This might be the craziest slick deal ever. Not that I will actually buy it because who needs 36 converter cables but I guess this would be great for a school or something.

Or old monitors, new PCs. Could be the case that your office is cheap and doesn't want to upgrade monitors, but the laptops are HDMI out (either directly from the laptop or via a dock). But.. been a while since I've found myself needing an HDMI -> DVI solution.

have a great 1440p dual link dvi monitor that is the panel the 2010s apple cinema display used but were "rejects" … but since they were rejects they required a dual link dvi port and they never spent a few bucks to also allow displayport a new tech in 2012 and 2013

The last thing I need is 36 more cables to add to the clutter in my house. So why did I buy this?

I think someone needs to stage an intervention on my behalf...

Great deal, especially if this was still 2010, but completely pointless for majority of people out there. You will likely just create unnecessary clutter for yourself. I have a family with a small business and they still use a PC with DVI, but that's the only use case I can think of personally.

Unless you work for some low budget company on the verge of bankruptcy, you're not finding DVI at most places anymore.

My main gaming monitor is a TN 144hz over DVI only. 2060 super, last generation GPU that has DVI built in.

Having said that, these cables are single link only so wouldn't be able to produce 144 hz.

Who the heck would need 36 of these cables in today's economy.

Super niche case here, but I do use a DP to DVI (but I could just as well use HDMI to DVI) dongle to connect my largely headless server up to an old HP monitor (VGA and DVI only) to perform a BIOS update about once a year, or to look up something on this computer in the basement from time to time. It's the only way to get a digital video output from the RTX 3050 to my old HP monitor.
