Very Nice unit sharp looking, very quiet but very weak IMO having Alexa on it is great too but it does not move a lot of air just my 2 cents.

The unit on sale doesn't have Alexa integrated, only a remote.

yeah i love vornado fans/circulators, i have a whole bunch of them and they are the best on the market because of how powerful they are for the size. but this transom fan was very unimpressive as far as amount of air it circulates... it could just be that the shape limits the amount of airflow you can achieve, but i upgraded a different transom window fan with this thinking that the vornado one would be a beast and while it was better than the old one, it's not like a normal vornado circulator

I bought one awhile back and then quickly returned it after turning it on. It was way too weak and I couldn't justify paying the price, even if it was considered to be a slickdeal here. The highest speed was much lower than the lowest speeds of typical average house fans.

These are OK, but they're like one feature away from being much better -- there's no way to angle the airflow. The window is right next to my bed, so it was blasting me with outside air directly. Not always what you want.

As others have noted, airflow is not huge. IMO that's an expected tradeoff based on the size and form factor, so I don't call it a flaw. Just make sure you're OK with that tradeoff.

These are also too large for some windows. They fit some windows in my house but not others.

Aside from all those caveats, they're nice. Niche.... but nice. Always had great experiences with Vornado.

For those of you that have this, do you think this would work well in a bathroom that doesn't have an exhaust fan to pull the moisture out during showers?

As long as you have air drawing from another location like an open window somewhere else in the house / apartment will result in the most effective use. But will still draw out humidity even if you didn't have another window open.

My 2 cents.

These are niche products and need to have the right user and use case.

First off. The listed specs for CFM are wrong or at least contradictory from site to site.

Best use case:
A region where night time temps and humidity are lower than what your house might be during the day. Humidity is the real big one. If your night time humidity is high and uncomfortable it makes no sense to bring in cool wet air unless you are also using a dehumidifier. Which will lose the dry part if you have multiple windows open especially where lighter dry air will escape an area of heavier 'wet' air.

The normal used to be $70 up until a few years ago. The tariffs gave them a reason to price it at $100 msrp. This is most effective window fan on the market because it has multiple speeds and also reverses. It also looks like nice but suffers from touchscreen buttons instead of hard buttons.
I think the the more fair MSRP of $50 would be more accurate. I usually buy these on clearance for the $35 price.

We generally use them in the spring and fall. They take 10 seconds to put in the window and take out. It happens to be the perfect size for most of our double hung windows and there is no gap on the screen.

More people would probably benefit from a tower fan and dehumidifier vs a window fan.

Best of luck.
