It's worth paying more for the middle tier. Low tier data is throttled pretty severely. I never saw above 20mbps when I had it versus 700-800 for the mid tier.

Remember that the watch service is included in the highest tier plan. So if you have a cellular smart watch just go for the highest tier.

Visible's annual plans stand out for unlimited talk, text, data, hotspot, and strong Verizon coverage, especially on the higher tiers. The mid and top plans can deliver much faster speeds than the base tier, and 5G UW phones see the biggest gains. Hotspot is a real perk, though the base plan can limit it to one connected device and the top tier is the only one with watch service. The main catch is promotional pricing that rises after 12 months, plus occasional activation and deprioritization headaches in congested areas.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. The low tier can be heavily throttled, with speeds reported around 20 Mbps or even lower in some areas, while the mid tier has reached 700-800 Mbps and the highest tier has reached 300 Mbps+ on 5G UW-capable phones. The faster tiers also tend to have better hotspot performance and fewer drop-outs.

  • Hotspot limits depend on the SIM/plan. One Visible plan was limited to a single connected hotspot device, while other SIMs allowed multiple clients, and the higher-tier plans are also described as having unlimited hotspot with better stability.

    djsvetljotxdfdj99wa

  • Yes. The annual offer appears to be promotional pricing that increases after 12 months, so the first-year rate is not the ongoing price.

    KudasaiKudasaiKudasai

  • No. Watch service is included only on the highest tier, so a cellular smartwatch needs the top plan if you want the watch line included.

    Chemosh013

  • Yes. You can choose either pSIM or eSIM, and activation can be done whenever you're ready.

Not that my current Visible plan ($20) only allows for a single device to connected to WiFi hot spot (iPhone). The phone isn't the issue, as other SIMs allow multiple clients

I upgraded my phones in the last year to make sure they are capable of 5G UW. My speeds went from "lucky to get" 20-30Mb to up to 300Mb & sometimes more. This is with the Visible+ Pro (highest) plan. The hotspot speeds have improved greatly with less drop-outs.
I did get a pixel 10 for free last year (black friday?) with an annual sub, which I would do anyway. Works great. The other phone is a brand new moto edge 2025 for visible off of ebay which also works great.

Tried several times to activate a bunch of phones on Visible and ended up failing. Absolutely ridiculous company, wasted a couple weeks with them and they kept playing games. Those delays cost me an additional $90 because it bled a few days into my next cycle on Tmobile. Ended up just moving our service from Tmobile postpaid to US Mobile which actually has more affordable "shared data" plans that worked perfectly for my older relatives. I'm paying $35/mo. with their top-tier plan, Verizon service which also includes a free watch plan. Unless something changes with Visible I'll never waste my time and patience with those idiots again, absolutely horrific customer service. US Mobile has been absolutely stellar and informed CSRs and I have reached them by phone in literally two minutes or less each time, and they actually WANTED our business rather than the rats running Visible.

Important to note that all Global Pass days on the annual plans are available immediately whereas on the monthly it is 1-2 per month. This was the deciding factor for our vacation to Europe.

If you check Reddit you'll find Total Wireless is awful. People sign up for $25 and get billed $50.

Just get total wireless byod deal. It doesn't throttle and the speed is amazing. It's much better than my visible$15 a month plan.

does anyone have tips on how to make a family plan out of these individual plans? relatives want to move away from Verizon desperately and it seems I'll just have to sign them up for individual plans maybe during the Black Friday months and rinse/repeat closing/porting in out yearly. is this what most people who want family plans with visible are doing?
