These are excellent for bike chains to keep them quieter and last longer. Wet lube is just going to attract dust, grime and cause a number of other issues and a pre-mature wear.

Also tracks for sliding glass/screen doors, which is probably one of the best examples of why dry lube is sometimes better than "wet", especially if you live in a relatively dry or windy place.I tried regular WD40 & silicon before I realized I was just creating supermud (which is my new band name).
