Best Buy just dropped the 2026 version of the Hisense U6 (U6SF) 65" to $549.99, which appears to be the best price on this set so far. 75" and 100" are also on sale, but the 65" seems to be the best deal right now.
These are the brand new / just released 2026 versions of the U6 line. The 2025 versions were very well reviewed mid-range MiniLED sets & the 2026 sets perform as well or better than those did. There is conflicting info on peak brightness with some specs showing 600 nits & Hisense brand accounts confirming peak nits are 1,000 on this set. The 2025 version was independently measured at 946-1041 peak nits so I'm inclined to believe the 2026 version will be the same or better, but won't know for certain until some of the major review sites post their breakdowns on the new line.

We really need some independent testing on these newer mid-range sets to work out the discrepancies between the models, but no reason to think they decreased brightness from prior year base U6 Model.
Correct that only the U6SF Pro is measured at up to 1,200 nits - thanks for flagging that and I will correct that in the OP!

FYI, if you're looking for higher brightness and don't mind a larger set, the 75" Hisense E8 is on sale for $649.99 at Sam's and is rated (by Hisense) at up to 1,300 peak nits, so that may be something worth looking into if your store still has stock.
