Crazy price, snagged one! Been using their older Dual Mode 4k monitor for the last 2 years and it's held up incredibly well with 10-15hrs of daily use. Hope that's the case for this one

Watch the Gamers Nexus video this week on the shady things LG is doing with their monitors and TVs. Specifically, installing software without your permission and listening to you via the TV ( and policies saying it is YOUR responsibility to get consent from people you bring near the TV to be recorded).

I like LG products but am avoiding them until they address these issues.

But to be brutally honest, while yes LG does this, Microsoft allowed for this to happen. It is something you can prevent though, kind of like a lot of Windows crap that is on by default, so you can make it not do it... not just for LG, for anything (Google it if you need to know). And Microsoft did push to have LG remove the ad ware which they did.

So the question is do you want to draw a line in the sand for all LG products for doing this? And that's perfectly reasonable, it just reduces your choices since LG isn't the only one who abuses systems as much as possible. Or do you want a good OLED monitor, albeit a generation old, at a really good price? although not super insane price, since they were already lowering the prices on these

Personally I wouldn't fault anyone for either choice they make.

So, one thing to know. Lg does not have a true DP 2.1
It might not apply to you, but it is something to know
