DJI Power 1000 V2 stands out as a high output portable power station for heavier loads, with 1,024 Wh capacity, 2,600 watt max output, dual 140 watt USB C ports, and a 10 millisecond UPS switchover that suits mini PCs, NAS units, and desktops. It also adds more AC outlets, a thicker casing, and built in wireless support for solar charging through DJI accessories. The main drawbacks are the proprietary solar and charging setup, which needs extra modules, and recurring concerns about seller support and warranty handling. The price has also swung sharply, so the current discount may not be as straightforward as it looks.
Off-grid solar campers who want built-in charging integration, because the V2 can connect to panels with a separate adapter module and avoids a separate solar controller.
Owners who want straightforward warranty help, because failed ports were repaired with a mailed box and a replacement unit arrived about two weeks later.
Shoppers who need predictable post-purchase support from the manufacturer, because warranty handling may depend on the seller if the unit is not officially available in the U.S.
No. Solar input requires a DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module, and the V2's direct panel connection is limited without that module. The proprietary SDC/MPPT setup also means you may need DJI-specific accessories rather than a standard all-in-one solar hookup.
The V2 adds a higher 2,600W output, 10ms UPS transfer time, two AC outlets instead of one, and a thicker casing that weighs slightly more. It also supports built-in wireless tech for solar charging integration, while the original model needs a separate module.
Support can be handled through the seller, including repair shipping without the original box and replacement units after service. The V2 may be more dependent on seller support if it is not officially available in the U.S., so warranty handling can hinge on where you buy it.
Yes, the V2's 10ms transfer time is specifically suited to non-battery computers like mini PCs, NAS units, and desktops. The older model's 20ms switchover is slower and may be less suitable for sensitive gear.
The price has reportedly swung from about $350 to as high as $700 and back again, so the sale can be more of a recurring promo than a true one-time drop. That makes the current price worth comparing against its recent floor before buying.
I guess I should've pulled the trigger yesterday at $399. It is $449 today for the V2. Essentially same unit but with 4 outlets and a higher wattage rating of 2600. still seems worth the money. Regardless, not great comments around the seller of these units if there is an issue.

I see 399 for the V2 now. Note that the v2 also has 10ms UPS transfer time for switchover (vs 20ms). Most non-battery computers (miniPC/NAS/Desktops) require <10ms transfer time).

I bought the V2 from them a few weeks ago. Was handy when the power went out 2 days after I got it. Haven't had issues. Not sure if they're great for support if there's an issue, but it's DJI and they generally make solid equipment.

Support was great last year when one of the USB ports flaked, they wanted me to ship it back for repair to which I didn't have the original box. They shipped me an empty box with a return label. ~2 weeks later I had a brand new unit at my door step. 10/10 would recommend.
Re: the V2. Isn't it true that it is technically not available in the U.S.? If true, all warranty issues will have to be at the mercy of the seller and not DJI.

The v2 has slightly higher power rating, faster response time 10 down from 20, 2x the AC outlets, thicker casing material (which makes it weigh a tiny bit more than the V1) and importantly if you are planning to use this off-grid with solar, the V2 has the wireless tech built-in to solar charge. The V1 needs a separate module.
How is this compared to jackery600v2 which isnsold at Costco for 349$

Not correct about the built in solar charging. You need a DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module to connect any panels to this.
