To think this was like $750 before Apple raised their prics $150-$250 for hardware. This is BS! AI has got to go - has brought nothing good to society other than higher prices, tech bros pushing 996 schedules and taking advantage of people and also scammers have better tools than ever to run scams. AI IS ONE HUGE SCAM.

DON'T NORMALIZE these price increases!

would anyone price match this? do I have to be a member to actually see if this is available near me / what its the price? If so can someone verify its price and availability for ZIP 30319 before I become a member to purchase this Smilie

I agree. apple will not roll back price even after AI supply crunch is done in 2029... at that point, looking back, this price is a deal

add that the M5 version has a 12GB RAM as the minimum compare to M4 version which has 8 GB RAM.... RAM is the chokepoint of iPad, not the cpu. i would gladly buy the M4 if the RAM is 12, but at 8 gb, it's the same as my M1 version, so better buy the M5.

another point to look is how Apple increase their RAM from 8 GB to 12 GB in 5 years time (M1 to M5), so their next RAM upgrade would be at least another 5 years in M10 chip....

M10 chip probably has iPad Pro fold form factor, lol... 11 inch fold into 22 inch iPad shake head

I'm not sure how the 256GB 2024 M4 benchmarks compare to its M5 counterpart...but I picked up the M4 256GB 11" a month ago from Sams, still in stock at 799. I had to pull the trigger, my Air 4th Gen 64GB wasn't cutting it anymore.
