Seems like a mediocre price per pound, unless you're unwilling to buy in more bulk than this.

Ex:
https://slickdeals.net/f/19812387
12 lbs for $40
edit: now dead

My Costco has 3lbs for <$11 everyday. given, this arrives at your door.

edit: frontpage? really

mediocre price that can only be replicated by "select accounts" with 1 comment, but somehow this is a frontpage deal?

And people question slick these days, LOL

That was part of the Walmart clearance deals. That price is far from typical and I'm seeing it's back up to $76 on my end ($0.40/oz. vs the $0.22/oz. in OP).

This deal in OP was even cheaper than your Costco price and I don't have to buy 3lbs.

SD keeps trying to pump these bad deals for chia seeds and then throwing them on the FP.

FDA recalled chia seeds earlier this year. Not from this brand but why buy from Amazon if they don't even know their source for chia seeds.

Go with a reputable brand instead and save money at Costco.

Your math seems off.

$4.06/ lb in this post
vs 3 lbs for $10.89 at Costco. ($3.63 /lb)
you're correct re needing to buy 3 lbs. that's usually how Costco works.

Actually the brand mentioned in the recall is a reputable brand, certified organic and a B Corporation. In fact B corps can't remain a B corp if they are doing shady things. The reality is, they most likely got a bad batch from one of their suppliers, which let's be real, happens to a lot of legit companies all the time. The fact that they voluntarily recalled it without waiting for the FDA to jump in and fix it is proof they are a legit company. Most companies don't even say anything until legal institutions step in on their behalf.
