It's been this price for a while now on what seems to be a constant "sale". I really consider this the new regular price.

No, it hasn't. Nikon's had a $700 promotion since at least 6/1. Adorama had a cheesy package deal 2 weeks ago for $1997

A whopping $2 cheaper than direct from Nikon. Which is how I buy all my pricey Nikon stuff, Direct from Nikon. I had a D780 issue they just replaced it with new. No back and forth. Plus if you time it right you can get 0% financing.

If you have the B&H card, you get no tax, so this potentially represents a much better deal

Take a look at all the credit card companies Bread (Comenity Bank) owns. (Dell, Nikon, B&H/Payboo) 0% interest is free money no matter who its from.
