Used to be one of my favorite restaurants until they did away with unlimited peanuts and bread. Even one bucket of peanuts would be enough. Now they hand out one tiny bag of shelled peanuts per person which is a joke.

Card cash is where I get my TX roadhouse gift cards. Immediate delivery, and a 45 day guarantee. Last week I went there tried to spend the remaining $11 I had from a gc, said it was already redeemed card cash literally refunded me my $86 cc charge for the $100 gc

The Roadhouse in Rockford Illinois still has unlimited bread. Customers can also ask for a bag of four on the way out the door. I always take the bag of peanuts home for the squirrels.

Must a a local thing, my local Texas Roadhouse, even though the peanuts are in bags you can ask for as many same for bread. They will even ask you if you want extra bread or peanuts to go home with.

๐Ÿคจ You were going to a steakhouse just for peanuts and bread? Also, your restaurant must suck as I'm pretty sure it's still free bread at all of them and when we've asked for peanuts they would give a armful of those little bags and told us to ask if we want anymore. I'm sure they did away with the buckets because of peanut allergies and waste.

Food at our local one is great, and considering how much steak prices have gone up a good deal ๐Ÿ˜‚

Before the pandemic, I used to go there and ate half bucket of peanuts and 8 pieces of breads. Then I ate a little bit of the entre and have the rest to go, plus additional paper bags of peanuts. That's two meals.

It must be the restaurant thing. They only allowed two bread refills. With two people that's only 6 pieces per person, with four people, that's only 3 pieces. I still have GC left. I'll go there again to see if they would give me as many bags of peanuts as I want.

Most people aren't eating half a bucket of peanuts and 8 pieces of bread themselves...... Honestly man, you were getting about an average persons entire daily intake of calories for free, if your local one is cutting you off I believe YOU are the reason...

That's soybean oil, not butter, sadly.

The hassle of retrieving this gift card makes me less likely to buy from this place again. FYI, it's not as simple as checking out and receiving a code, you have to hunt around to figure out how to retrieve it. ๐Ÿ’ฉ

You gave me too much credit. I'm certain it had nothing to do with me. I alone couldn't trigger a nation wide change for a chain restaurant. They got rid of the take metal bucket and fill peanuts yourself thing nation wide. Another reason why it wasn't me was I had a specific waitress and I tip her 50-100% of the bill. I was welcomed in that restaurant. They don't care if I take a bucket of peanuts home. In fact, this waitress hook me up with free side refills. Yes, I eat peanuts, bread, and unlimited sides, then box the entree for another meal. I was doing it at least once every month for many years up til COVID. I wasn't joking this was one of my favorite restaurant.
