- 3/8 in. drive pass-thru reversible ratchet works over long threaded rods where normal ratchets and sockets won't fit
- Ratchet only needs a 5° swing to turn fasteners in tight spaces
- Each SAE and metric Pass-Thru socket does the job of a standard and a deep socket combined
- Pass-thru sockets' universal design fits 6 fastener types - hex, square, 12-point, E-Torx, partially rounded hex, and spline
- Includes socket rails and bit holder for storage and organization
- Alloy steel for durability, and black oxide finish resists corrosion

These are also spline sockets so not what you would use on hex bolts you want to keep in good condition
Edit: they also are less thick than a traditional ratchet and socket so work in tight spaces.
Even though these don't accomplish much more that a ratcheting wrench, they do allow you use an extension AND they take up much less space than a set of ratcheting wrenches. I prefer to use this type of socket instead of flex-head ratcheting wrenches.
These just let you go over long bolts or threaded rod to get to a nut.
These are also spline sockets so not what you would use on hex bolts you want to keep in good condition
