Seems like a great price and normally I take reviews with a grain of salt....but there just seem to be too many issues with this thing to want to rely on it in an emergency.

Thanks for posting but this thing seems like a huge paper weight.

Probably because it's not powerful enough to start it. 4500watts at 240 is only 18.75 amps.

That depends. My 4000 watt inverter starts my well pump just fine.

What model is it? I can't seem to find a smaller (affordable) inverter, especially dual fuel which does 240v (they all seem to have 30A RV plugs now). My well pump is 240v and I believe max starting amps are rated at 1500 but I was 'budgeting' for 2000 just in case. Otherwise I'll only be running lights mainly, maybe the fridge but if I did that, I would police the well pump's usage.

Oh sorry, I didn't pick up on that it was an inverter only. Thank you, that may be a solution!

Yes, you are missing context which can somewhat obscured in our threads. I was replying to a discussion within the thread related to getting well pumps started

I bought this deal 2 weeks ago. I'm currently on day 3 of a power outage and this thing is powering my whole house (not 240v) on propane. One 15lb bbq tank lasts about 8 hours on eco mode.
