The thing with smart devices is that is one area you want a solid name - too many of my off-brand smart devices went out of business and/or no longer support them. Kasa is a reputable brand vs. Tapo.

This replaces the "line side" 3 way switch in your 3 way switch setup - the existing dumb "load side" switch can remain in place.
If you have more than one 3 way switch setup in your house, this 2 pack is actually a better deal, 2 switches @ $25.26, so $12.63 per switch. Note that while TP-Link implies this is a "kit" that replaces each switch in a 3 way setup, each switch in this 2 pack can handle a 3 way setup, where the remaining dumb "load side" switch can remain in place.

Note in all cases that you'll need a neutral wire on the same circuit in the box containing the "line side" switch. Some older homes may be wired as "dead end" 3 ways in both switch locations, where no neutral is avaiable in either 3 way switch location, in which case you're out of luck unless you want to rewire the 3 way setup, which is not a trivial task in finished walls.
They also have a 3 way dimmer kit, which DOES require replacing both switches in the 3 way setup, but again requires a neutral in the "line side" switch box:
