This has a chance to blow out your wax seal. The cheap ones like this also have a chance to dislodge the main head up further into the toilet then it becomes irretrievable. A new toilet would have to be replaced. I did a lot of research on these things and looked through Amazon reviews in the past.

Have used similar a few times (don't ask!) with success. Have heard that these hurricane blasts have been known to cause leaks somewhere down the line -- likely due to already compromised pipes/seals -- tho have never had a problem myself.

Have a smaller version of this. It works better than auger, plunger or mostly anything else.
I assume if you have a blockage from hell this may or may not work, but for what most people experience in their houses - this is like magic.
