The bundles now are outrageous. Way too expensive. Zen 5 is going to look very dated once Zen 6 comes out. Tech websites say it's going to be 6+GHz. Huge jump in IPC and many more cores compared to the standard 6, 8, 12 and 16 cores of Zen 5.
Those were Chinese made ddr5 6000 cl38 16gb sticks rebranded as corsair by corsair themselves. They flooded the market. Then all the other ram sellers got their shipment and branded it to their company names.
Microcenter was the first to jump on the deal so they had the lowest prices. Then when everyone else got them. They only lowered the price about a hundred bucks instead of 200 like micro center was doing. Becuase thats their only margin. Microcenter took 0% margin on the ram to get the margin on the other parts. Aggressive and it worked .
But now all the prices have gone up because the Chinese company's ram has been pre-ordered through mid 2027 from all of the ram makers such as corsair and well all of them because its the only way they can get a margin is from the 6000 cl38 ram. The cl30 has no margin and costs a lot and people won't pay as much as often for a 4-8% difference when the price is 40% or so above $400 for cl38 to get cl30.
The ram is good. And its all you can buy right now. But theyre all keeping the price high because its their only margin right now and they will run out of stock backorder if they lower the price. So supply and demand is the game right now.
