This Klein ratcheting pass through crimper and CAT6 plug kit stands out for making Ethernet terminations easier, especially with the matching pass through connectors. The tool is described as simple to use, even for first time CAT6 runs, and it has been used successfully on CAT6A as well. Long term durability looks solid in some reports, with 100 plus connections and 200 plus cables still cutting and crimping normally. A weaker note is that another report says performance dropped after about 30 to 35 crimps. The kit looks like a practical pass through setup if you want cleaner terminations and can accept some price premium.
Home network installers terminating CAT6 for PoE cameras, because the pass-through design and included instructions make first-time crimping straightforward.
People wiring a large number of Ethernet runs, because the tool and connectors can stay cutting and crimping normally after 100+ connections.
Technicians who prefer pass-through terminations, because they can be easier than the traditional non-pass-through method and produce consistent results.
DIY cablers using CAT6A, because the tool can crimp and cut it cleanly.
Installers planning hundreds of terminations, because the tool can stop cutting excess wires and securing the pass-through end after about 30-35 crimps.
Shoppers expecting a long-lasting bargain tool for heavy use, because a cheaper clone may work for a dozen crimps but may not hold up for hundreds.
