This Klein ratcheting pass through crimper and CAT6 plug kit stands out for making Ethernet terminations easier, especially with the matching pass through connectors. The tool is described as simple to use, even for first time CAT6 runs, and it has been used successfully on CAT6A as well. Long term durability looks solid in some reports, with 100 plus connections and 200 plus cables still cutting and crimping normally. A weaker note is that another report says performance dropped after about 30 to 35 crimps. The kit looks like a practical pass through setup if you want cleaner terminations and can accept some price premium.
Pass-through connectors paired with the matching crimp tool make termination easier and produce consistent results.
The tool and connectors have continued working the same after 100+ connections.
Following the included instructions enables easy CAT6 termination even with no prior experience.
The tool can work on CAT6A cables as well as CAT6.
The crimper can stop performing well after about 30-35 crimps, including cutting excess wires and securing the pass-through end.
Replacing the blade reportedly did not restore good performance after the tool began failing.
The current deal price may be higher than a prior $16 kit that included 50 plugs.
