Decent price, when I had my M4 Pro 24GB 1TB, it was $2100 with EDU discount.

This is $2500 despite the shitty RAMpocalypse and it is 2TB storage.

With that much RAM and a 2TB SSD, especially with a 2Tb SSD!, it's not a bad deal for the world we live in.

Getting Apple laptops with 2TB SSD's is stupidly hard and stupidly expensive.

Any idea when Oled is coming? Rumors are seriously saying it will be much thinner. Can't wait to get 16inch 64GB, 2TB for 5k. Hopefully touch too if not I want 128GB.

I believe OLED will be end of year, early next year starting with the M6 series.

However, based on the reports, there will be no M6 Pros or M6 Max as Apple is heading straight for M7 chips.

I'm considering a new MacBook Pro as well, but with OLED and touch screen on the horizon, I'm waiting until the M7 chips drops late next year.

I'm still on my MBP 16 M1 Max at 64GB of RAM and 2TB hard drive. Still plenty powerful for what I do.

If you wait until early 2028, the M7 Ultra will be available.

M7 Pro is rumored to be out within a year and is rumored to be a big jump in performance over the M5 Pro (and the about to be released M6).

Unless you NEED an M5 Pro now, waiting seems to be the most optimal move.

That's laughably wrong. Mac only ever releases mbp in March. Sure we'll have a m6 then but with scarcity of components expect another 10% price increase for what is likely to be negligible performance increases if you follow the last few generations.
