The 2024 Razr Plus gets 3 major Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates. So next year it should get Androlid 17 as it's last OS upgrade and it will continue to get security patches until June 2028. So you would have just under two more years of security patches. I don't know what the hazards are of not getting the latest security patches but it's probably not worth finding out. I would look at this purchase as a phone you'll use for about two years and then you'll want to go with something new.

Great point, which had me thinking I should check!

My Chase Sapphire credit card has the extended warranty and specifically calls out a manufacturer OR dealer warranty will be extended!!

"As long as the refurbished item comes with a valid original manufacturer's or dealer's warranty at the time of purchase. Chase's official Guide to Benefits explicitly states that refurbished items are not considered used or pre-owned if they are accompanied by a warranty."

Not worth it. I've had this phone for 18 months and the inner large screen is already losing touch response because the hinge sensor is messed up. The outer small screen is a pain to use most apps on, can't even see what I'm typing. Would not recommend
