As to the A16 phone, my S23u screen just cracked and generic replacement screen sucks battery power, along with other issues, so was hoping to use the A16 as a trade in when a T-Mobile deal comes around. Current deal A16 trade in value is $250. Maybe use A16 as a temp cell phone if needed for a short time? But testing shows the A16 will not work for me on the horrific Total Wireless / Verizon network. I am used to T-Mobile 5G speeds of 300 to 800 Mbps everywhere, not barely 5G speeds of 1 to 18 Mbps anywhere (tested on Total Wireless Sim's in both tablet and phone, around multiple Tampa locations. Seems like Verizon limits 3rd party provider 5G speed around here).
How long will I have to wait to use the A16 as a trade in at T-Mobile. They accept other carrier locked phones as long as phone has satisfied original carriers plan. If I do as most, and simply don't ever top off Total Wireless plan, can I still trade in phone down the road, or does it need to stay on an active paid account for months, or even a year, or ????? Thanks!
BTW: It took 4 phone calls to customer support for them to activate the Tablet to the account. They kept telling me I had to add money to my card, which of course we don't have or need to do. They would check into things, try things, then "accidently" hang up after 15 minutes or so of checking into it. On the 4th try, the rep actually went to the website and tried the same $100 deal method listed here, same steps, finally saw it included tablet plan. Then, after 45 minutes of hard work, it was finally activated. I just wanted to make sure Tablet was activated as per the original deal, so that they could not later come back and say deal was disqualified for failing to actually activate the tablet. Still unlocked and still works great with T-Mobile sim.

Read and search for how to do Samsung Factory firmware update at a few places, as each show slightly different methods. Obtained factory firmware at samfw, but be very careful as the site is loaded with junk that might do bad things if you click the wrong link. Search for obtaining firmware for more info, and carefully follow instructions on what to click on at samfw.
After obtaining firmware, used this guide from youtube.
"How to Install Samsung Stock ROM/Flash Firmware With Odin - No Rooting | Complete Guide 100% Free"
But I first had to do a factory restore, otherwise Odin would not work properly.
Could not get it to load into download mode unless it was factory restored first.
Then it all went perfectly.
