As the sale site says "Electric Scooter". This is either a moped or a motorcycle depending on your state. Anyone who notices the front motor will know this is not a legal e-bike.

Having said that.. this is a "motorcycle you can also pedal" vs all the "motorcycles with decorative pedals" that usually get posted. It has an adjustable seat, the frame is not over-built, and it has 21 gears, which gives you enough gear range to actually pedal this beast.

True but what is even worse, is it has many normal "bike" parts. That's fine for a bike. Different for when have a 2000w motor in regards to speed, handling, braking, etc.

Not sure what some people's fantasy with these junk types (bike frame with a slapped on motor). Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Either get a purpose-built eBike or get a quality normal bike.

Good comments. I've had this bike for 3 years. The frame is fine, heavy, but up to the task. Motors are not 'slapped on'. These are hub motors. They drive the wheels and don't cause any frame stresses or upsetting behavior. 'Bike parts' is true. However, really good bike parts. I've never had an issue with the Shimano 21 speed cassette. The hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors can lock up both the front and rear tires and bring the bike from 35mph to 0mph in a very short distance.

Folks who've never ridden an e-bike or not ridden one in the last 3 years have some misguided ideas of how they ride, what they do and how they are built. The newer bikes, like this one, are highly programable. You can change how the power comes in off-the-line, or even the % in each gear. You can also program the top speed. My 8th e-bike is arriving today (not this one). I could've easily done my entire performance journey with this bike vs. upgrading every time I wanted to go faster. I could've just programmed the bike as I felt more comfortable. Would've saved me the headache of selling bikes on FB marketplace, but honestly they sell quickly/easily here….just not in winter.

Night riding on this bike is really easy. Headlight is motorcycle-like and even at 35mph you don't out drive your headlights beam. It has a tail light that 'brights' under braking like a motorcycle tail light. I also added cheap rechargeable flasher lights front and rear for extra visibility. Finally the phone carrier and charger are great on long trips especially if you are using Waze or other app for navigation.

There are 2 caveats to this bike. This bike does not have a rear suspension so you have 3 ways to deal with that.
1) Do nothing
2) Air down the tires to help act as further mitigation
3) Buy a seat pole with suspension

I did #3 and frankly with 4" tires is not really that big of an issue.

Like most dual motor bikes, and e-bikes in general (especially fat tire bikes), this bike is heavy. 85 pounds+. I'm comfortable with it as would anyone be that's ridden dirt bikes. My wife can't ride it though as she's not strong enough to deal with the weight when the bike is not moving. Her e-bike is a step through, weighs around 65lbs and tops out at 24mph. All perfect for her.

Hope that helps.

Is it the same e-bike as EBYCCO bike in the other thread where you shared your thoughts? Also, were you able to get more detailed tech specs for those bikes? There are lots of marketing statements and I'd like to surface the facts (certification sheets, motor/bms/battery info, internal settings or app unlocks, etc)

Keteles is what I own now and have for 3 years. the EBYCCO is arriving today. The Keteles site has all the specs, the TEMU listing, not so much. Motors are bafang which means bullet proof. Most of the batteries don't list type, source or UL certification. Ebycco is UL certified though. I've never worried too much here we have 8 e-bikes, 7 e-scooters, 12 e-mower battery packs and we've never had a battery failure of any kind. I'm sure there's been degradation over time, especially our 6 year old e-bikes. But they still take a charge, still hit top speed and still hit 95% of their mileage as they did when new.
