This is a fantastic game. Tons of different environments, and your villagers are useful. They will grow food, craft items, and help you fight. you can spend a tremendous amount of time on this one

I know i'm in the minority, but I've been over the pixels S since the 80's, these games make me cringe.

I would generally agree except when it comes to good game play. There are a lot of really good pixel graphic games with depth that don't need the pretty part. Dwarf fortress for example. Others can even tell a super emotional story (like To The Moon though it is a bit more than pixel level).
