ESR's 15W MagSafe air vent car mount charger stands out for a very strong magnet, steady vent grip, and a support leg that helps keep the phone stable on rough roads. It has held up for years in multiple cars, and the mount can be rotated and adjusted to fit different vent angles. The vent design can block airflow, and the charging magnet can warm the phone in hot weather or during longer drives. It is a solid magnetic car holder with charging when the setup fits your vents.

  • The strong magnet keeps the phone from shifting or coming loose even over bumps.

  • The vent mount stays secure on rough roads, and the support leg helps offload phone weight.

  • The fan-equipped version can help reduce thermal throttling during longer warm-weather trips.

  • The promo code can still work and may show a $10 promotional credit after reapplying.

  • The vent clamp rotates for alignment, and the kickstand offers multiple adjustable positions for different vent setups.

  • Charging via MagSafe can make the iPhone heat up, so frequent charging while using the phone may be less comfortable.

  • Mounting on certain vents can block A/C airflow when the heater or A/C is cranked.

  • The support leg requires the vents to be in a horizontal position for proper fit.

  • The magnet should not be too strong because pulling the phone and mount together could damage the car's vent.

I assume the phone will easily fall off on a bump
Looks like it includes a dash (sticky) mount too

You'd be wrong. This is what I use and the magnets are strong enough so that it doesn't move on the mount at all.

I have this version with the fan (slightly pricier) but it works like it says on the tin. Those in warmer climates or taking longer trips regularly might find the "cryo cool" version more useful, since both the charger and phone may end up thermal throttling in a warm car. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T9JLYZF
But the magnet is definitely surprisingly stable, even on my Galaxy S25 with the magnet in a 3rd party case.

I've been using this for a while, like 2-3 years. The magnet works just fine unless you're offloading. I actually prefer it to stronger magnets that take effort to pull off...this one's the right amount of strength imo. Your iPhone will heat up when charging via MagSafe, so I only plug it in on roadtrips or situations when I want it to slowly charge while in use and may go in/out of the car frequently. Otherwise, cable charging is more efficient, cooler, and faster.

It's attached to a car vent, so use case is almost opposite of the outside weather. In hot months when you're running the A/C, it keeps the phone nice and cool during charging too. In cold months when you're running the heater, you'd have to close the vent regardless of whether you're charging to not overheat the phone.

I use mine just as a magnetic phone holder. Works great.

I agree, I just use mine as a magnetic phone holder and plug in a cable to the phone itself when I want to charge it as I don't necessarily want to charge every time I use the mount especially when it's hot.

Amazon reviews have videos showing the magnetic strength. Looks pretty strong to me.

I've never had it come off on its own in the many years I've used it. But you don't want the magnet to be too strong either as then you'll be pulling the phone and mount out together from the vent (if not eventually breaking your car's vent).

I've been using this charger on 2 cars for about 3-4 years. No issues at all. The leg below helps to offload weight of the phone, especially on bumpy roads.

My vents are vertical, not horizontal. Can the clamp be rotated?
