Powered by type C batteries. I understand the retro trend, and maybe a little nostalgic, but I also like my modern convenience of rechargeable batteries. Stupid product in 2026, just my 2 cents.

Yeah, definitely not audiophile quality lol. I agree, it's best suited for a garage or a workshop where you just want some background noise without worrying about ruining a nice speaker.

Fair point. The battery requirement is definitely old school. I think some people still like them for emergency situations or power outages since you can just swap batteries, but modern rechargeable tech is definitely more convenient for daily use.

You could use the following kit to obtain rechargeable C batteries. Since the Emerson uses 6 batteries, you would need 3 kits at $10 each, and a charger.
