Solid deal for a classic looking watch. But be aware that Joma shop's description is inaccurate regarding the movement. It says it's 28.8k vph, but the powermatic moments are 21.6k. So the sweep of the seconds hand will not be as smooth. That's partly how they're able to extend the power reserve to 80 hours.

I think this and a lot of the other Tissot watches popping up on deals these last few days also specifically use the 80.111 which is polarizing. That specific powermatic 80 uses several plastic parts, which some people don't like the idea of. They say it is safer around magnets and doesn't need servicing as much, but I think it's also not meant to be worked on. So if it has issues the movement will likely have to be totally replaced. I'm not saying it's bad, I've actually been curious and been debating picking one up.

Yeah I don't see anything wrong with this, especially at a budget level. I have multiple automatic watches that are 10 to 15 years old and have never been serviced, working perfectly fine, so I think the idea of a longer life initial part appeals to me more than serviceability.

I think most people who wear watches genuinely enjoy them. I'm a big Seiko fan, especially their Presage lineup, largely because the watches are beautiful and with quality movements. I wouldn't wear something I found unattractive just because it had a multi-thousand dollar price tag. Unpopular opinion, but I don't particularly like Grand Seikos, for example. A Rolex with a fluted bezel on a Jubilee bracelet, though? Beautiful.
That's a long way of saying I'm mostly interested in watches as quality jewelry that offers good value.
