I prefer the soft side on the Platinum series, but this is a pretty decent deal, at least for the gray one. I would also add that per some commenters on the last TravelPro woot sale, many said that TravelPro will not honor any warranty on luggage that comes from woot (not sure how they would prove it though).

Woot also has the 20" version, which some folks say works fine on European budget airlines that are strict about carry-on sizes. The 21" is probably too big and you might have to check it.

I prefer the soft side on the Platinum series, but this is a pretty decent deal, at least for the gray one. From what I can tell, these versions that Woot sells are "old" models, a "legacy Platinum collection". You can see slight differences in design if you look at the one on Travelpro's website. Their AI chatbot tells me you won't get an active Travelpro warranty if you buy this (no lifetime guarantee thing).

Learn from my mistake: do not leave the baggage claim area until you check your suitcase for damage. The airlines will pay for your bags they broke (the wheels on these are week points) But once you walk outside, they wont honor it.
