M7's will get a significant price increase on top of the already big increase they just did. People will look back at deals like this as a massive bargain as a similar m7 build will probably be $3500

Price trend is anyone's guess. Memory supply may see relief in late 2027 as the backlogged order gets filled. More recently the tech industry is already backing out investment on AI, and customer chase of AI has shifted from frontier models to cheaper good-enough (for a lot of the lower value tasks).

Base on these information the pricing pressure won't sustain in about a year's time.

The price increases were not just due to memory. In fact, memory costs were only a fraction of the large increase. They also were underpriced relative to their typical sustained margins even before memory cost increase.

The only thing that will prevent m7's from being more expensive would be a massive recession that also hits upper middle income. The AI bubble is likely the only thing that will cause some form of a recession, albeit its impacts will likely be more similar to a dot com bust than a 2008 recession. Apple will be shielded from this mostly.

The price increase is dominated by memory costs.

If memory price comes down, whether M7 stays expensive or not will depend on Apple's business strategy / priority as they decide the trade off between margin vs growth.

Apple has been pushing out product offerings at lower price points for the past couple years to capture larger customer groups. Also to capitalize on luring users dealing with windows 10 EOL.
