I have the XM4 as well as these and I felt like the XM5 were a significant step down in volume. I don't even use them tbh. They also feel lighter and flimsier than the XM4. Just my opinion

Id avoid these for the general downgrade (volume, mics, hinges). Pay a bit more for the XM6's since those have significant upgrades (plural)

Good for the price, but lack of folding hinges were the biggest downgrade on these for the travel crowd.

Xm6s are a solid choice, but you could probably find xm4s for an even better price than this without sacrificing much feature wise and getting folding hinges too.

It is. I wouldn't buy the XM5's in 2026, they are the black sheep of the XM lineage, they have significant problem with the hinge arm breaking. XM6's are a significant upgrade
