This serpentine belt tool set is built for tight engine bays where a breaker bar or standard wrench cannot reach the tensioner cleanly. It can make a frustrating belt change much faster, especially on cars with awkward angles or limited clearance, and the longer body helps when working from the top. Fit is not universal, though, and some engines need a different tool or a slimmer socket setup. The coupon price also drops it to $26.57 for some carts, making it a practical specialty kit when the vehicle calls for it.
Drivers facing cramped serpentine belt access, because the multiple tool options can reach awkward tensioners and turn a frustrating job into a quick repair.
DIY mechanics working on hard-to-reach belt tensioners, because the set can provide enough room where a breaker bar or wrench is awkward.
Owners of cars with tight engine-bay clearance, because the longer body can let you work from the top when the tensioner sits low.
Owners whose vehicles already have easy tensioner access, because a breaker bar or wrench can handle the belt change without this kit.
Drivers of cars with incompatible engine layouts, because the tool does not work on all vehicles and may require a different setup.
Shoppers who only need an occasional belt tool, because auto parts stores can rent one for free with a deposit instead of buying and storing it.

I also liked the longer length as I could work from the top (since the tensioner is lower in the engine bay.
The gap between the body and the tensioner is too thin for the Gearwrench to work, there isn't enough space for the socket and tool.
