These Skechers Swift Fit sneakers are positioned as a soft, easy slip in for casual walking, standing, grocery runs, and even indoor treadmill use. The mesh upper feels comfortable, the fit is close to true to size with a slightly roomy feel for some, and the hands free design works while standing. The main tradeoff is durability and traction, with reports of foam soles wearing down in months and the sole feeling very slippery. A budget minded casual shoe if you want convenience more than long lasting support.
Common Questions (5)
Durability is reported as modest: the foam sole can wear down in about 6 to 8 months with regular walking, and some pairs show traction loss much sooner. The more expensive Skechers versions use a harder sole under the foam, which lasts longer.
These are described as a lower-end Costco-specific version with a similar name, softer mesh upper, and less comfort, fit, and padding than store-bought Skechers. The tradeoff is price: the Costco pair is around $32.99 versus roughly $75 to $150 for regular Skechers.
They run close to true to size, but the fit can feel a bit snug compared with other Slip-Ins. One comment specifically says not to recommend a half-size up, while another describes them as true to size with a slightly roomy feel.
They are comfortable for casual walking and standing, and the hands-free design makes them easy to put on while standing. A caveat is that one shopper expected foot pain after 30 to 40 minutes, so they may be better for light use than long wear.
The sole can be very slippery, which is a concern for traction on smooth surfaces. That makes them less ideal if you need dependable grip for frequent outdoor use.
