I've had dealings with this "Vanilla Gift" company, ugh. Absolute thieves in my opinion. Was given a $15 gift card which I learned was then fraudulently drained out in the most obvious way- 15 charges of $0.99 apiece, I think at Microsoft. Went to use the card and it only had fifteen CENTS on it, checked with the printing on the accompanying paperwork and it clearly said $15, just like the second one they had given me which hadn't been drained and rang up $15 as advertised.
I called Vanilla to report this, they opened an "investigation," for which I was told to wait for months. Then finally learned their "investigation" found those were legitimate charges! Haha crooks. I called them back to protest, and they "reopened" the fraud investigation, and of course no word from them months later so far. On FIFTEEN dollars of fraud that nearly any legitimate bank would easily catch, and if they didn't would refund without complaint.
If Vanilla feels comfortable ripping me off on a $15 card, there's no way in hell I'd ever buy a card from them myself, much less a $50.00+ one. I've purchased thousands of VISA and other gift cards in my life, the only other card that got compromised was from a Jamba one (because Jamba is run by idiots who didn't think to use a PIN on their cards, a kindergartener could come up with ways to easily exploit that!). BTW Jamba doesn't stand behind clear fraudulent loss of value on cards either, I wasted approximately 20 hours on that rabbit hole before just deciding to ban myself from ever patronizing another one of their stores for the rest of my life. (Came out waaaay ahead on that one, it's been around a decade so far).
Think I'll make a habit of hiding (or throwing away) any Jamba or Vanilla gift cards I ever see available for sale on those racks. Tired of wasting away hoping that one day places like that will suddenly become ethical, at least I'll sleep better knowing I'll maybe save a few people from being similarly ripped off and stressing out expecting those scumbag companies to eventually make good on their obligations.

these cards are the worst. good chance they will be drained before you get to use them. In Laws insist on send these as for all gifts and already out $500 due to people stealing card numbers while packaged in the store.
