Helly Hansen is overpriced "premium" goods. Think Coach and how people label it as "luxury fashion" without knowing otherwise. Anyone with any kind of cash in their pocket wouldnt be caught dead in HH's garish designs at their laughable price points.

No it's not. Go to the best yacht clubs in the country and you'll see a lot of it on serious sailors. I keep getting given their stuff from family members and they have some really well made stuff.

It's overpriced premium goods, never said it didnt have quality make and materials. But like I mentioned, no one who wears luxury fashion from any vendor would ever consider HH to be high end or be caught dead wearing it. Even high schoolers and college students dont wear this, also telling. There are SO many quality jackets/coats out there that buying a $200 HH lightweight jacket is not only NOT a slickdeal, its a rip off. There is a reason why the top brands are never on sale for more than 10-15% off, months after the season is up. The main stockists like SSense, Mr. Porter, End Clothing that stock high end designers outside Neimans/Saks do NOT even carry HH on their sites. That pretty much says it all. They carry Nike and Polo like Macy's, but not HH. Again clearly demonstrating that the general public and stockists agree that HH is overpriced and not worth it. Maybe if other brands didnt exist it could be a viable option.

It's a high end outdoor brand. Not a bouge douche brand

Agree with commenter above. Helly Hansen makes actual quality outdoor products. It's what ski teams wear, crab fisherman in the Bering Sea and outdoorsmen in Scandinavia wear. It's top notch stuff with a top notch price tag!

$200 on a quality, waterproof, breathable ski jacket is quite inexpensive. Vail resorts have HH supply all their staff. It's a quality brand. I never see Nike or Polo jackets on the slopes but they don't make technical winter gear.
