One of the best deals I've seen on these. Also 9% cashback at one of the cashback sites.

Shows $224.10 when I click the link. Add it to the cart, and it shows $240.21. But if it's like other times I've recently purchased there (last time was in 2019, then two small purchases within the past three weeks, and several other attempts) when I actually check out, it will say "Discount Expired" and give me a higher price still. Why do people shop there? You can't know what the "deal" is until it's too late.
Yeah but then you just cancel. Annoying, but not world ending, and sometimes you get the killer price.

Great first printer. I love mine. You'll get hooked.

Sunlu makes great filament for those shopping. Start with PLA, as it's easiest to print, before moving onto PETG.

I'd argue that PETG prints the same as PLA in a good printer like this one.. Seeing as PETG is superior in almost every way to PLA aside from rigidity I tend to point people towards PETG so they can have durable outdoor prints which survive summer heat etc

PETG isn't necessarily superior to PLA. Aside from the rigidity, PLA also has higher strength and layer adhesion. Also PLA+, which can be had at around PLA and PETG prices, and prints easier than PETG, is superior to PETG in just about every way aside from temperature resistance and UV resistance. If it's not going to be in the sun or a hot car, PLA+ is generally superior. A PLA+ part cracks when it fails, while a PETG part splinters and explodes. ASA is far superior to PETG for temperature and UV resistance (it's what commercial outdoor parts are made from), but it needs an enclosure to print and is a little trickier to print than PETG.

I bought the Creality SPARKX 7 Nano Combo 2 days ago for $290 with 4 rolls of PLA included. Do you think this is a better first printer or the AD5X? I can make an enclosure on the AD5X when doing petg which I hear helps and it has corexy which the other doesn't. But the Nano is less locked down than Flashforge.

$217 shipped to me. Awesome little printer. Picked one up last time this showed up and it's been running almost nonstop in production printing PETG.

Sunlu is alright. Flashforge makes the best filament for this printer. You can simply use built in presets. PETG prints no different than PLA if it is dried first.
