Yes, it is; this has a significantly better display and a slightly more efficient processor with a better iGPU. But it's also $150 more than that deal.

Open Box at good/fair are worth it though? I don't think so. I need a decent laptop with min. 32gig 1tb ultra 7 series 2-V under 800usd. The acer deal at costco was awesome, but I missed it.
I had an acer a few weeks ago, tookit back, really noisy fan. I have an HP now, nice and quiet liike my other HP. 32Gb ram is the difference maker at the end of the day, they need to stop with the 16gb machines, its not enough even for casual browsing.

Omg please. You guys must have the highest expectations and zero patience. I have 2 older works laptops with 16gb from 2019 and 2020. They're plenty fast for browsing. Quite snappy actually.

Agreed. 16gb is sufficient for browsing YouTube Netflix etc. I'm on an Intel 10th gen and it's plenty enough for 16. Would love more but bios locked.

This was $787 on Aug 2. On Aug 3, it was $702 for "Fair" condition. I was able to do a return - repurchase for the lower price. Btw, there are some sleazy Best Buy managers out there. Regardless of Excellent, Good, or Fair condition, the policy is "May be missing non-essential parts & accessories" with the key word being "NON-ESSENTIAL". Many will try to scam you by not including the power cord and charger and try to make you buy one.

Per Best Buy's own policy as seen here: (https://www.bestbuy.com/discover-...2219922111) power cords and chargers are considered ESSENTIAL, so it must be included at no cost to you "Included accessories. Make sure essential accessories, such as power cords, chargers or remotes, are included. If they're missing, consider whether replacements are available."
