Yup, once you get used to drawers, or tool boxes with clear lids, it's hard to buy a blind box where you can't see what's inside.

I use a rolling tool cabinet with drawers to store my primary tools and other items. I also have some Harbor Freight tool bags with standard tools conveniently placed throughout my house. I keep a spare bag to load up from the tool cabinet for various projects around the house and return them when I'm done.

I have these stacks. The lock has a tendency to come off the box. Pain in the **s. Maybe I got a bad set. It also works with Dewalt boxes.

I have been steadily swapping out all of my black "tough totes" for the clear ones. My life is so much better for it.
