Just a month ago I got four of these for $234 before taxes each, so this is hardly a deal at all unless you need them NOW. Better to wait until the next AE sale.

This price was likely for the plastic case version. The metal case version has always been more when I've looked. I bought two of the plastic case ones for about that price each.

I'm not finding an Eco-Worthy battery that size. There are 640AH batteries from other vendors, but I don't see a name-brand one. Not that Eco-Worthy is perfect, but the plastic case batteries I've got from them are working well so far. Watch tear-down videos from Will Prowse and you can see the range of quality in batteries.

Correct it's not Eco-Worthy, but they *claim* it's A+ grade cells, and the battery actually gives you over 660 ah. Just something to consider.

I don't see plastic case 280 ah version on AE, eBay, or Amazon anymore. I think they just make metal version from now on.

Why would that be preferable if it costs $150 more aside from the small cost of cabling. The way I look at it, if there is a bms failure or a failure of any kind, I'd rather have the redundancy and utility of multiple units instead of suppering a full failure.

I'm still rewaiting for a similar deal to that killer sub$200 price per 280Ah.
After taxes I think I was at about $440 for 7.168kWh
