This EGO 21 inch push mower deal stands out most for bundling a 6.0Ah battery, which adds real value if you already use EGO tools or want a larger pack for longer runtimes. The mower itself is described as having strong torque for thicker grass and a useful fit for larger yards, with the battery often seen as the main draw. The main catch is that it is not self propelled, and smaller batteries can run short or overheat on mowers. It looks like a solid package if the battery size matches your lawn and tool lineup.
A 6Ah battery can reduce the need to cycle smaller packs to empty, which may help match mowing sessions to charging schedules.
A larger EGO battery can support higher torque mowing needs on weedier lawns and can leave usable capacity for mulching or taller grass.
Using a higher-capacity battery can help avoid frequent critical-error states that smaller packs may trigger under load.
A 6Ah battery deal can still be attractive when compared against standalone pricing for the battery without a charger.
The "mower for free" framing can be misleading because a genuine 6.0Ah EGO battery may cost around $200 brand new on eBay.
The mower may not run on batteries under 5Ah due to power draw, which limits compatibility with smaller EGO packs.
Smaller batteries can overheat and trigger critical error behavior, including flashing red bars during mowing.
Battery run time can fall short of marketing expectations on larger lawns, even with a 10Ah pack.

I am under the impression EGO counterfeits are less common than smaller power tool batteries, EG Makita's BL1860B, which is widely counterfeited with eBay flooded with them. Still worth weighing the battery and checking it over for obvious signs.
Sellers with a long history of good feedback is always a good sign.
I don't have a mower but have the smaller pressure washer which draws a lot of amperage especially on high power, and for fun I tried an old 2.5ah battery in it and it turns on but can't output full pressure on the highest setting and flashed red within about 30 seconds of run. So technically a 2.5ah battery can power the tool, but "effectively" not so much. TBF that battery is quite worn, too much of my holding the "Turbo" button on the leaf blower
Seeing MAK1981 post that they can mow their yard with a 2.5ah is pretty cool, i'd guess the battery is pretty healthy and they might have the older 600 watt LM2000 or LM2001 mower (discontinued).
