Any idea how long it takes after signup to get that email coupon?
I signed up 30 min ago, along with phone number text signup as well, and still nothing.

Add/Edit:
They emailed a $10 off $50+ coupon and it arrived in my inbox after about an hour. Seems they've gotten $5 less generous.

I'm actually really thinking long and hard (PAUSE) a/b buying one of these at this price. I ran off like a bandit when Amazon sold the 5800 XT for $124 in May of last year and if this 5900 XT was priced at $199 instead, I'd be all over this since I could always reserve it as a spare. I have a workstation PC which contains the 5800 XT and I currently have a spare 5700X3D which I plan to repurpose for a Steam Machine killer in which I finally have all the parts to put into motion.

I have the 5700X3D. For games is great. And it was a nice upgrade over the 3600 I had, but I do a lot of video editing / video encoding and I would have preferred a 12/16 core cpu over an 8 core. So it just depends on your use case.

Hmm, debating should I get this 5900XT or the 5800X3D to replace my 5700G cpu.. Is this 5900XT fine for gaming, I do some handbrake encoding as well.

We're both in the same boat since I do a lot of video editing myself. Here's the thing, the 5700X3D I purchased back in 2024 right before the tariffs started kicking in during the 2024 election. I actually purchased the 5800 XT b/c of how cheap the price was obviously and I was running my main PC w/ the 5700X3D at that time. Once I replaced my 5700X3D w/ the 5800 XT this past Nov, I decided to retire the 5700X3D. However, since I run my own YouTube channel, I came up w/ the idea to find parts during Prime Day this past June to use to build myself a separate PC that is capable of competing against the newly released Steam Machine on both price and performance, utilizing the 5700X3D. I plan to do that video next week.

X3d will always perform better in gaming because of the cache. If your use case is gaming only, and want the best gaming only performance get the x3d. The 5900xt is a dual die full 16 core 32 thread step up from the 5900 also a dual die 12c 24thread. I downgraded from my 5900 to the 5700x3d when it was 200$ and never looked back. I don't do heavy video editing, but I run intensive ai applications which rely heavily more on my 4090's vram and my 128gb ram. I can run games, discord, voicemod, with no hit to performance or noticeable slowdowns. (Same as originally with my 3080 ti) Dual dies have split cache per die so for gaming it is more noticeable (which really isn't that much a sacrifice, but once you get an x3d you never look back lol)

New e-mail? 5-10 mins normally. Least with Gmail when I tried it.

I had a Staples account under 1 email but wasn't signed up for the alerts & deals, so at first I signed up for it on that email address (Gmail).
After waiting 45 min with no word, I signed up for the email/text alerts under a different Gmail addy.
Then I finally got the emailed $10 off coupon under the original email addy 15 min later (1 hour total wait time) and nothing ever came on the (unrelated to my account) 2nd Gmail addy.
