This is kind of a tweener - too big to use inside of the house regularly, but too weak to use for heavy cleanup and sucking debris out of crevices. I bought this for my shop last year, and returned it after a week.

The 12 gallon, 5.5hp stealthsonic that Costco used to carry for $125 was a much much better machine.

I don't know what kind of heavy job you had in your mind. I used this to remodeled two bathrooms in my new house last month.I suck out the toilets, all the debris from the bathroom. Best part is it stealthsonic, noise is much quieter than my craftsman shopvac.

I got this a few months ago. Good unit. It's quiet, basically like a regular old vacuum sound level. Suction could be a little stronger but it's good enough for most jobs around the house. I recommend it unless you're doing serious shop work but at that point you would want something bigger anyway.

Would this be good to periodically suck out the gunk from an AC drain line or is this overkill? TY

Anyone price the bags? I prefer bagless but dunno if any current shop vacs do this.

Purchased this unit a year ago at Costco. Have been very pleased with its performance. I also have a huge Craftsman wet/dry vac, but I grab the Dewalt most of the time due to its easier maneuverability, much quieter operation and very good suction. My only complaint is trying to keep the accessories organized since there is no on board storage for them. Most came in a net bag plus two extensions that don't fit in that bag.

That is the much bigger 6.5hp 16Gal version. Not the 4hp 8Gal version listed here.
