This 3 pack of 32GB PNY Class 10 microSD cards stands out for older gear that tops out at 32GB, including audio recorders, trail cameras, retro consoles, Raspberry Pi projects, Wyze cameras, and some 3D printers. The V10 and A1 ratings fit low bandwidth recording and basic storage needs, and the smaller capacity can avoid compatibility issues with FAT32 and older devices. The main concerns are reliability and authenticity, with reports of dead cards, counterfeit units, and failures after months of use. Packaging is also described as plain generic bags, so it feels like a practical but cautious fit for legacy devices.

What are these used for?
Trail cameras. A good number of them are limited to 32gb memory cards.

I have some audio recorders that do not accept any cards larger than 32gb
This is because FAT32 can only go up to 32 GB.
Well, technically it can go up to 64 GB, but some devices have problems with this.
So for anything bigger you need EXFAT or NTFS, which a lot of devices can't use.

FYI. PNY usually sells their multipack products in extremely generic clear plastic bags with no official looking logoing and packaging. I know a lot of people don't care, but I think it looks very lame.
I'd be more worried about it not actually being from PNY.

Use case matters. V10 is perfect for audio recording. Your board level repair background isn't needed to know this. I'm only replying to you at this point because you mentioned how it amuses you and you might be completely invisible to everyone else in your life, but I see you. I'm here for you. When you develop a time machine to buy more items from last December I'll want to be on your good side.
I actually learn quite a lot reading these kinds of arguments. I'm here for you both. (´ᆺ`ʃƪ)

When did all types of storage get so expensive. Apparently we have AI to blame.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Ordered x3 for my security cameras and all of them were fake / counterfeit PNY.

If you are getting any sales on storage and RAM & it's through some Amazon gutter vendor, IT IS FAKE!!!

Use PNY's website to validate your serial numbers!!!

They're used for making PNY money, since silicon this poor would have been binned directly into a circular file before the scarcity. V10 A1 on a 32GB die isn't something I've seen make the light of day in years.
I use it for my wyzecams. In for 1 set

With how much these things have jacked up in price in recent months I so wished these were 64gb versions. One of the reviews the guy says 1 in 3 was a fake but the photo shows one of them was just dead. Which let's be real, it happens. Doesn't mean it's a fake. Just get a replacement.
I bought 2x sets of 3 of these same PNY chips from Amazon and had about a 33% failure rate after 6 months in my Wyze cameras and two dash cams.
