Whenever I buy 4 of these, staples cancels the order. No reason. Auto cancel.

And they are a hassle to get rid of. I prefer the physical ones for more universal usage. These "virtual" ones are basically limited to online use, and then just try spending exactly $200 somewhere with tax, you inevitably end up with a few spare dollars that are painful to spend out. They are really easy to lose track of too. I printed them out which helped put them in the physical world, but still easy to misplace.

I have credit cards that give me a pretty generous 5% cashback, but have decided all the hassle of these and possibility of losing track isn't worth saving $10 bucks.

The easiest way to kill them for all the value is to dump them into something like an Amazon gift card ($10 minimum!), but even that whole process of adding the credit card, buying the gift card and making sure to choose the correct funding source, wait for gift card to come and then go back in to kill the credit card and apply the gift card can be 15-20 minutes of unpaid work.

It's not that difficult to spend out the last few dollars on the card. I always empty the card making partial payment on utility bills or one of the credit cards that accepts DEBIT card as payment. The problem I have with virtual visa is that I couldn't charge over $200 on this card whereas with the physical card I can.

If you're in a store, can't you tell the cashier to charge $x.xx amount to the card to spend the remaining amount then pay the remainder with whatever other form of payment you have? You have to know how much balance is left on the card but should still be possible I think.

Quick tip i use them with Walmart Pay i use a combo of cash and the card to finish them off.I typically buy these cards to get my credit card reward spend threshold

Some stores can do that, but some can't.
