Grade B is supposed to be pretty bad. These are likely 3-4 years used laptops, which are now off-lease. In some case people also get machines where parts have been replaced internally.

This is a great get.
Condition rating is only for appearance, not functionality.
Battery life should be solid, but I've had success getting money back on a warranty claim for poor condition batteries.
I only just last month picked up one of these for $600. (Only because it was the P processor instead of the U)

Picked it up for my kid going into middle school, a chromebook that is $200 8 months ago is now $400+, this is a much more powerful machine, slap on chrome and it should be great and will last longer due to the better build even if it is refurbished. Its not like kids will really take care of it well so I just opted for the B grade, according to Gemini, a replacement battery is pretty user self replace friendly, so overall I think this is a great buy for my case and just in time before school starts.
