No 32-bit float is kinda a killer in this price range, especially as you're likely to be using this as an on-camera or fixed boom/stand mic, and clipped audio isn't something you can easily retake with paid talent on a later shoot day. This is the kind of kit you'd use for smaller interviews where you want good off-axis rejection to reduce ambient noise (supercardioid), and it's likely to be just an interviewer and camera op with the subject, so there's not a separate sound mixer riding levels.

Would this be decent for in studio talking head content?

Yes, with the caveat that if the talent turns their head/body too far the audio can drop off pretty sharply. Ideally you've got something like this plus recording another channel of lavs on all your subjects, or an omni overhead/near to catch anything that'd otherwise get missed.
