These are the best erasers. Well, they were the best in like 2009 and I'm assuming eraser technology hasn't come super far since then. When I took the LSATs, everyone agreed these were the only erasers that would fully remove a previously filled bubble and boy howdy they sure did.

Erasers never get used up completely; they always end up lost, broken, or chewed on.

These are hi-polymer erasers. You can get hi-polymer erasers in Pentel brand at Walmart for lower price though it is a personal preference which brand to go.

What's the difference between these and the hi-polymer eraser that you can find at Wally world for $1.67 for 3?

Google AI Overview

The Staedtler Mars Plastic and Pentel Hi-Polymer are both premium, latex-free plastic/vinyl block erasers that leave minimal debris, but they differ slightly in texture, firmness, and how their shavings gather.

Material and Texture
  • Staedtler Mars Plastic: Made of a slightly firmer PVC formulation that holds its sharp edges longer during detailed work, showing high resistance to aging and cracking.
  • Pentel Hi-Polymer: Slightly softer and more pliable out of the package, requiring very light pressure to lift dark graphite cleanly.
Debris and Cleanup
  • Staedtler Mars Plastic: Rolls its waste into neat, long, copious strands/strings or distinct crumbs that sweep off the paper easily.
  • Pentel Hi-Polymer: Tends to produce finer, lighter dust or smaller clumps depending on the paper surface and friction applied.
Performance and Feel
  • Staedtler Mars Plastic: Offers a bit more tactile feedback (slight resistance) when gliding across paper, highly favored in drafting and technical work.
  • Pentel Hi-Polymer: Glides exceptionally smooth and fast with minimal drag, excellent for general writing and heavy student use.

Lol eraser tech. Which is easier to use, this eraser, or the backspace key? Eraser tech ain't getting better anytime soon
