God changed my life through this show.. In 2020, I was ready to end my life and my wife turned this on for me while I sat in a catatonic breakdown on our couch. I saw a Jesus I had grown up hearing about, but had never experienced. Yes, it's a show and it's corny and campy and cringy at times, but I love the emotion in it. Is it totally accurate? Nope. It's also not supposed to replace anything but serve as a signpost to point people to the Bible and to give them hope.

And I am living proof that lives can be changed by a show.

This digital HDX bundle covers The Chosen seasons 1 through 5 at a very low price, with past sale history around $20 and claims that this is the lowest price yet for those seasons. It is the TV series based on the Gospels, and the story is praised for its emotional impact and strong scenes like Jesus meeting Nicodemus on the rooftop. The main catch is that season 6 is still coming and season 7 is planned, so this is not the complete series yet. It is also available free with commercials on BYU TV, while Fandango is noted as easier to watch across devices.

  • Fans who prefer commercial-free viewing, because the series is available without ads on the BYU TV app and website.

  • Viewers who want to start seasons 1-5 now, because there is plenty of good content to watch while later seasons are still unreleased.

    BryanS5944

  • Families watching on mixed devices, because it plays in a web browser and on streaming apps like Roku without needing a separate platform-specific app.

    NavySardine761

  • Viewers who want a digital copy, because this offer is the download version rather than DVDs.

    BetaRoc

  • Shoppers who want the full story finished before buying, because the later seasons are still coming and the set is not complete yet.

  • Collectors waiting for the complete series, because seasons 6 and 7 are still unreleased.

  • Viewers who already have access to the ad-free BYU TV version, because the same episodes are available there without commercials.

  • Physical-media collectors, because this offer is a digital download rather than DVDs.

The biggest counter argument was that not one contemporary Jewish historian mentioned his existence. There were no official Roman or Jewish record of the man. That wasn't the case with Buddha and Mohammed. You have official record from government at their time and you have contemporary historians mentioning the men. In fact, we have the physical remains of Siddhartha Gautama who lived 500BCE. The evidence you were referring to was the religious movement and the gospels that happened about a century or two later. I mean no disrespect. I'm just looking at it from scholar and scientific point of view. I think the situation is almost identical to founder of Zen Buddhism who happened to be the founder of Shaolin kungfu. The religion and martial arts are real, but that man Boddidarma never existed.

There are also no roman or state executing records that survived for Pontius Pilate, but there are plenty of records of who he was and events under his rule (not religious texts). Including Roman officials and historians (ex. Tacitus, Flavius Josephus + Philo (a both Jewish historians). Though we have a limestone slab built by Herod and an inscription with Pontius Pilate on it

Look up the number of Jewish men that were crucified under Roman rule with no Roman record of the event from 100BC to 100 AD, we are talking thousands and yet there was no Roman records of this during the time.

Records of all kinds specifically during the turn of BC to AD are generally minimal, not just of Jesus' existence...which by all accounts was a virtual no-body compared to the rulers at the time.

No. The Chosen TV show (this post) is entirely built around the gospels of Christianity. It's a multi-season historical drama that tells the story of Jesus Christ's life and ministry through the eyes of the people who knew him.

It has nothing to do with WW2.

I also don't recommend you buy this because this entire show (so far since S6/7 aren't released yet) is available completely commercial free on Byu TV app and website. The app is available on most smart TV and streaming devices like Fire stick as well.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I'd suggest/recommend that any doubters/haters watch "The Case For Christ". Lee Strobel was hard core in your same camp and went berserk when his wife became Christian. He set out, as a journalist for the Chicago Tribune, to disprove the whole thing. True story and rather interesting on multiple levels.

Man the overtly political left wing anti-Christian propaganda on this thread while I got banned for posting anything remotely off topic of the product shows that SD mods are infiltrated as well.

I don't like Apple as a company, but for things that are "movies anywhere" and therefore available on all platforms - I'd say Apple tends to have the best steaming quality.

That said, Fandango is easier to watch anywhere. A normal web browser, Fangando app on devices like ROKU, etc. Apple to watch it on a Windows computer you would have to download an app. For this reason I tend to buy on Fandango unless Apple costs less. But if you are all Apple devices, it might not be as big of a deal.

TV shows are not movies anywhere so I can't check the quality of each. Only have it on Fandango (and my bluray's are certainly a step up from that).
