I have these and have used them weekly for YEARS. I like them a lot compared to other styles/brands. I have both sizes. I use mainly for stranded wire.

I've used the Klein tools one and they work really well but it's still worth it to have a pair of the manuals around

Terrible experience with Irwin ones that are shaped similar to these Ideal ones. Have yet to have an issue with these Knipex ones I bought a while ago. No surprise, I have yet to have their tools let me down. Cobras, Alligators, etc. Just watch any Project Farm review, Knipex is always doing well

I bought these from the previous post last week (https://slickdeals.net/f/19815897-ideal-10-22-awg-auto-wire-stripper-tool-25-96-free-shipping-w-prime-or-on-35) and really like them. Just review instructions and be aware that they snap back and your wire should be removed before you release handle

They've been on Amazon for at least several years, and they've been manufactured (in the U.S.) since the 1940's. All those similar-looking strippers you see? They copied the Ideal design. If I didn't already have a Klein version I'm happy with, I'd jump all over this deal. No idea whether the referenced poster/post is legit, but the product and deal certainly is.
