i don't believe these are 10 year batteries. I believe they use standard replaceable AA batteries

These smoke detectors go for $50-$60 a piece. Getting them for $35 is very good price.

These are connected devices not stand alone.

FYI - Ring.com doesn't give the usual 10% discount for annual plan subscribers, because this is a 3rd party item.

Decent price. From a cursory search, lots of channels are selling these for a good discount, but none as low as this. My whole house fire alarm presented with a problem two days ago. I already use Ring for the house, so this is perfect. In for 5. Thanks OP

Can the smoke alarm be use unconnected?
I was hoping it would be wired with battery backup but it looks like it's just battery operated.

Where are they getting the $120 price when each item is only $50? Not complaining still in for 2 at this price. Not that I really want another app on my phone. Says works with Alexa. I can probably delete the app after install and just let alexa give me an alert?

I followed the link in OP. At the checkout page it said sign in to get 10% off if you're Ring Plus (or maybe pro) subscriber. I signed in and the discount automatically showed in the checkout page. I pay $10 monthly, so, that's my Ring subscription tier.
