An iPad is smaller, less versatile, and typically more expensive. I use a large whiteboard for my family of 8 and this would be very helpful to us. I'm considering the 27" and the Costco bundle is $509 - it's pricey but much more useful to me than any of the 6 iPads floating around our house that no one use. So, to each their own. I imagine a lot of your purchases would seem like crap to me.

I begrudgingly bought an original Skylight at my wife's urging. I thought it was dumb - "we could use shared Google calendars and tools to do the same thing."

The Google suite method never worked for us. This did. Our family of 6 runs smoothly off this tool.

You do not need a subscription for calendar stuff: just to use it as a digital frame and order food and meals
