Yeah, but probably can't beat them for this price imo.

I have a few sets of these laying around. We use them when we need quick temporary audio in an area. Put them on a Bluetooth amp and you're good to go.

They aren't amazing, but they sound really good for that price.

For critical listening, yeah. But it's fine for ambient music, which is what most people want on their patios. If you need a little more kick, you can add something like this: https://www.ticcorp.com/products/...-subwoofer

I had one of these half-buried and hidden between a couple bushes in the courtyard of my old condo, running off a cheap class-D amp. Paired with a couple of small, easily concealable, outdoor satellite speakers like the ones in the OP. It sounded pretty damn good, and didn't cost a lot of money.

I'm very tempted because they come with brackets. I bought the famous monoprice outdoor set and fosi Amp, had been sitting in my garage 2 years. Does anyone know of we can find a way to mount those around under deck and walls?

For outdoor use the issue is bass dissipates very rapidly without any room reinforcement. So ideally if no sub then at least 6" woofers are best. Maybe get away with 5.25" woofers if they are pretty close and reinforced under an awning but 4" is again more suited for nearfield (like computer) use where the bass wouldn't totally dissipate on you, and prob not suitable for outdoor use.

If using a sub then yeah maybe you could make it work but seems like more trouble for just casual ambient music where 5-6" woofers tend to work fine, are easy to install, and don't require integration with a sub or an amp with a crossover.

Plus if you get white outdoor speakers they repurpose very well as Atmos speakers with the brackets they come with so a bit more versatile than a tiny sat that would need to be crossed over very high and may have trouble keeping up with proper HT speakers.

You can even get 8" woofer outdoor speakers with the same benefit of decent low end without a sub. That would be a good option for bigger back yards with out necessarily needing a sub. There is no replacement for displacement.

I'd like to have speakers for my rear patio. Do people normally keep the amplifier indoors and just run speaker wire out through the walls to the garden? Or the amp outside as well, in some kind of waterproof enclosure?

May pull the trigger on these for the price, just to have something to listen to while manning the grill, or set them as the B speaker group to hear the game outside.
